Garuda Aerospace Doubles Down with DGCA Approval for Manufacturing and Training

Garuda Aerospace has obtained six DGCA approvals including Delta Type certification for Manufacturing and Train the Trainer approval for the Training RPTO by DGCA

Chennai: Garuda Aerospace, India’s leading drone company, has further solidified its position as a pioneer in the Indian drone industry by securing two additional approvals from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). These approvals mark significant milestones for Garuda, demonstrating its commitment to compliance, quality, and innovation.

The first approval granted to Garuda Aerospace is a Delta-type certification for manufacturing. This certification validates the company’s capabilities in designing, manufacturing, and maintaining drones according to stringent DGCA standards. The Delta Type certification is a crucial requirement for drone manufacturers operating in India and ensures that products coming out are of the highest level of safety.

The second approval Garuda Aerospace received is a Train the Trainer approval for its Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO). This approval empowers Garuda to train and certify trainers, who will then be responsible for educating and certifying drone pilots. By obtaining this approval, Garuda is well-positioned to contribute to the growth and development of the drone industry in India by nurturing a skilled workforce of drone pilots.

With these latest additions, Garuda Aerospace now holds a total of six DGCA approvals. These approvals include:

  • Delta Type certification for small drone manufacturing in (October 2024)
  • Train the Trainer approval for its Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) in (September 2024)
  • Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) approval for Medium Drone in (December 2023)
  • Type Certification for Medium drone manufacturing in (October 2023)
  • Type Certification for Small drone manufacturing in (December 2023)
  • Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) approval for Small Drone in (September 2022)

Garuda Aerospace has been achieving milestones in the drone industry. In 2022, PM Narendra Modi launched 100 drones in 100 locations across India and, praised the start-up and shared his thoughts on how Garuda, with its innovative technology will empower farmers and agriculture into a more profitable business. Later, Indian cricketer MS Dhoni joined as the brand ambassador and stakeholder of Garuda Aerospace, Dhoni has been actively supporting the vision of revolutionising the Drone Industry as the vision is being proposed by Garuda Aerospace. Garuda is India’s first company to have both manufacturing and training certifications from DGCA, showcasing its comprehensive expertise in the drone industry.
