BEL Receives Orders Worth Rs 1,155 Crore

Bengaluru: Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has secured an order worth Rs 850 crore from Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) for the supply of indigenous multi function radar in X Band.
TD Nandakumar, GM (ADSN)/BEL, received the order for MFR (X) on behalf of BEL from Sreejith, Director (Operations)/CSL, September 11 in the presence of Suresh Kumar KV, Director (Marketing)/BEL, Jose VJ, Director (Finance)/CSL, and Prabha Goyal, Executive Director (National Marketing)/BEL.

This fully indigenous radar, designed by DRDO and manufactured by BEL, is capable of detecting, acquiring and tracking airborne targets to provide protection for naval ships.

Additionally, following its last disclosure on August 22, 2024, BEL has secured orders valued at Rs 305 crore, which include orders for navigational complex system for ships, thermal imagers, communication equipment, fire control system, gun control system, spares, services, etc. With these orders, BEL has now accumulated orders totalling Rs 7,075 crore in the current financial year.
