Iranian Aerospace Force Unveils Underground Missile City

Date:

Tel Aviv: The Aerospace Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on January 10 unveiled what state TV called an underground missile city.
According to Iran International, the website operated from London by the opposition to the regime in Tehran, the missile base was unveiled by IRGC Chief Commander Hossein Salami and the Aerospace chief Amir-Ali Hajizadeh, the IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News reported.
The base was used in the Iranian missile attacks against Israel. The Islamic Republic code named the attacks Operations True Promise 1 and 2 in April and October 2024, Tasnim News said.
“The volcano lying under these mountains can erupt in the shortest time possible,” state TV’s report said.
Earlier in the day, Salami said that Iran has more missiles than it can store, while dismissing, what he called enemy propaganda about the weakening of Iran’s armed forces following consecutive attacks by Israel on Iran and its allies.
Iran is getting ready to an Israeli attack aimed at stopping its nuclear program.
Most of the Iranian nuclear sites are underground.
Israeli sources said that the exposure of the underground missiles facility was made to deter Israel from attacking the nuclear sites.
An Israeli defence source said that as Israel recently destroyed an underground missiles facility in Syria, “there are ways to destroy the Iranian underground facilities”.
