Tel Aviv: Israeli company UVision Air has signed a contract to supply its Hero-120 Loitering Munition System to an undisclosed European country.
According to the company, this deal  is the result of a productive collaboration with Rheinmetall, initiated in 2021. It follows a series of successful flight missions demonstrating the Hero-120’s exceptional capabilities in the extreme Arctic winter conditions. These missions encompassed extreme low temperatures, heavy snowfall, strong winds, high humidity, ice-forming flight conditions, low cloud cover, and limited visibility, both day and night.
Major General (ret.) Avi Mizrachi, CEO of UVision, says: “We are proud of this latest contract, which was secured shortly after we have demonstrated the unique capabilities of the Hero-120. The system’s effectiveness extends beyond addressing the specific needs of military forces operating in the Arctic, reaching the broader regions of northern and eastern Europe. The successful partnership between UVision and Rheinmetall has recently resulted in several significant agreements across Europe, including the supply of specialised loitering munition systems to Hungary. This contract emphasises the trust placed in the Hero-120 Loitering Munition System, further strengthening its status as the premier choice for military forces operating in extreme environments.”
The Hero 120 Loitering Munition System is a mid-range, anti-tank system designed to meet the demands of the modern battlefield. It employs high-precision strikes against anti-armour, anti-material, and anti-personnel targets, including tanks, vehicles, and soft targets in urban areas. With minimal collateral damage and a range of multi-purpose warheads, the Hero 120 provides operational users with an effective engagement solution.
