Uncertainty Looms Around US Supply of GBU-43/B MOAB Bomb to Israel

Tel Aviv: No official Israeli comments on the signs that the US is going to supply its “Mother of All Bombs” (MOAB) to Israel.
The MOAB can be dropped from a C -130 cargo aircraft that is operated by the Israeli Air Force.
American officials of the Trump administration said in recent days very vague things that may point to this change in US policy. The US plans to send the “Mother of All Bombs” (MOAB) to Israel. This is a big change in policy due to growing tensions with Iran.
The MOAB is a powerful non-nuclear weapon. It can destroy deep underground sites, like Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities.
Past US leaders, such as Bush, Obama, and Biden, did not allow Israel to have this bomb. However, Trump seems to have changed this decision. There are concerns that Iran is close to having nuclear weapons. Trump has warned of strong actions against any threat from Iran.
Israeli prime minster Benjamin Netanyahu in his visit to Washington DC last week showed Trump intelligence about Iran’s plans to build nuclear wreathed.
The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) colloquially referred to as “mother of all bombs” is a large-yield bomb, developed for the United States military.
It was first tested in 2003. At the time of development, it was said to be the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in the American arsenal. The bomb is designed to be delivered by a C-130 Hercules, primarily the MC-130E Combat Talon I or MC-130H Combat Talon II variants.
The MOAB was first deployed in combat in the April 13, 2017 airstrike against an Islamic State – Khorasan Province tunnel complex in Achin District, Afghanistan.
The bomb weighs 21.000 pounds and delivers a 18.700 pounds warhead. The MOAB is 30 feet long and has a diameter of 40.5 inches.
