The UK Ministry of Defence recently awarded Smart Shooter through Viking Arms Limited a multi-year contract for the Procurement and Support of Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft System Smart Weapon Sight (CsUAS-SWS) via a Framework Agreement worth up to £20,000,000.

Providing dismounted soldiers with the ability to achieve a high probability of hit against micro and mini UAVs, Smart Shooter’s SMASH technology enhances every mission’s effectiveness by increasing the Probability of Hit (PHit) against small UAS through ballistically calculated coincident shot release. Ideal for defence and CsUAS missions, the SMASH 3000 and SMASH X4 have clearly demonstrated that firers are able to successfully hit drone targets with a much higher PHit after only a short training.

According to the company ,the SMASH Fire Control Systems have completed rigorous trials and qualification processes of the highest standards and demonstrated firers nearly quadrupled their PHit Vs. in-service magnifying optical sight.

SMASH family of fire control systems includes handheld operated, remotely controlled, and robotic systems, e.g., UGV, UAS, mounted systems that ensure precise hit capabilities, enhance forces’ situational awareness, and reduce costs by significantly lowering training burden in both range time and ammunition.

Smart Shooter’s Chief Executive Officer, Michal Mor commented, “We are delighted to cooperate with Viking Arms Ltd. for this significant project. The SMASH precision fire control systems that revolutionise the dismounted combatants’ battlefield effectiveness are an ideal fit for the cUAS operational requirements of the British Army, providing a pin-point accurate kinetic interception capability that is not dependent on the user’s combat stress and, in fact, reduces their cognitive load.”
