Tel Aviv: Israeli company Plasan Re’em, has unveiled a line of light armoured police / security forces vehicles designed specifically for high-risk operational environments where standard patrol vehicles are no longer effective.
Built on a proven automotive platform, the IBEX combines full ballistic protection (up to STANAG Level 2) with high mobility and modular adaptability. The vehicles are designed to withstand threats such as IEDs, Molotov cocktails, and stone attacks, while still maintaining the manoeuvrability required for urban and off-road deployment.
One of the key differentiators is the “Kitted Hull” concept – a modular armour system that allows rapid installation or removal of protection elements depending on mission requirements. This enables law enforcement units to adapt the vehicle configuration in real time, without compromising operational readiness.
The IBEX platform is available in multiple configurations, including utility, pickup, and transport variants, supporting a wide range of missions – from routine patrol and riot control to SWAT deployment, casualty evacuation, and mobile aid stations.
With capacity for up to 8 personnel, integrated run-flat systems, reinforced suspension, and strong off-road capabilities, the platform is designed to allow forces to operate effectively even in challenging terrain and hostile environments.
According to the company, the system has undergone live-fire testing and has been ballistically certified, including validation by the Israeli Police, ensuring both operational credibility and field-proven performance.
