Cossipore. The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Gun & Shell Factory, Cossipore. On this occasion, the national flag of India was hoisted in the morning by Subir Kumar Saha, General Manager of Gun & Shell Factory, Cossipore. Throughout the week, various events were organised, in which employees from all levels of the Gun & Shell Factory participated.
Following the Indian Government’s directive, employees took part in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” programme with dedication, planting nearly three thousand saplings around the Factory premises and at their residences. Additionally, all employees actively participated in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, which began on August 13. As part of this initiative, employees hoisted the national flag at their residences and shared selfies with the flag on various social media platforms.
On August 12, the Factory observed the “Nasha Mukt Bharat” campaign. On this occasion, all employees took an oath to contribute to a drug free India.
On the occasion of Independence Day, General Manager of Gun and Shell Fcatory, Subir Kumar Saha praised the employees for their enthusiastic participation in the week-long patriotic events.
