GRSE Celebrates 5th International Day of Yoga

Kolkata. Garden Reach Ship Builders & Engineers Ltd.,(GRSE) organized a special yoga session on June 21 for their employees at their Main Works Unit to commemorate the ‘5th International Yoga Day’. The event is intended to achieve a holistic development of human body and mind while promoting harmony and peace for humanity, which is the main essence of Yoga.

Rear Admiral VK Saxena, IN (Retd), Chairman & Managing Director, GRSE whilst inaugurating the programme in the presence of Mr. S S Dogra, Director (Finance), Mr. AK Nanda, Director (Personnel), Cmde S Nayyar, Director (Shipbuilding) and other senior officials and employees of the company, stated that in the last five years, the awareness and practice of Yoga, a part of our rich Indian Culture, has taken the form of a tidal wave sweeping across the nation and got recognition even by the global community.

A large number of GRSE employees cutting across different age groups enthusiastically performed various “Asanas” and “Pranayam” in this program. Over the last few years, GRSE has successfully conducted ‘Yoga’ training classes and introduced a large section of employees to a healthier living.
