DefExpo 2022: Spherea of France Partners with Crown Group Defence to Establish Electronic Repair Centre

Gandhinagar. A leading French electronic system manufacturing and testing group, Spherea has signed an MoU today with Crown Group Defence, India’s Defence MRO major to initiate Joint Project to establish Electronic Repair Center and for joint development and deployment of maintenance test solutions for the Indian Defence sector at DefExpo 2022 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Under the agreement, both Spherea & Crown Group Defence are jointly partnering to establish an Electronic Repair Centre and offer life extension solutions for electronics systems which will contribute to “Make in India” for the mutual benefit of the Indian and French industries.

Spherea & Crown Group Defence would partner towards After Sales Support and Services, Make in India under Technology Transfer from Spherea and collaboration for the joint development and deployment of Maintenance Test Solutions in India.

The Electronic Repair Center to be established in Goa would encompass maintenance engineering services, including repair and life extension solutions of electronics devices.  The repair centre is intended to be inaugurated in 2023.

As partners, the two Groups count on this success to enable the future development of skills in the maintenance of electronics devices in India, for the benefit of the major industrial players, a way to bring their own contribution for taking care of the people and the future.

Spherea Test & Services is also well known for its expertise in testing and life extension solutions working for global players in Aeronautics and Defense. Spherea is engaged in the business of design, manufacturing and support of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), test programs, test systems and associated services intended for the Development, Integration, Production and Maintenance of Electronic Systems.

The Crown Group with over 40 years of expertise in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) activities is driving indigenous capability development in the Defence Sector, by partnering with major OEMs, in keeping with the Government of India’s policy of “Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan”. 

The companies jointly shall provide electronics testing support for western fleet of aircrafts.

The global strategic situation enhances the importance of partnership between French and Indian defence expertise towards sustainability of fleets, particularly in the field of aerospace.
