Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Reviews DefExpo Preparations

 

Lucknow: With the countdown having begun for the DefExpo 2020, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on January 5 reviewed the preparations for the mega event which is to be held in Lucknow from February 5-8.

More than 900 international defence manufacturing companies having registered for Asia’s one of the biggest defence expo that will be held over an area of almost 42,000 square meters. The expo organised in Chennai in 2018 saw participation by 702 exhibitors.

With this being the Lok Sabha constituency of the Defence Minister Singh, he is keen on it being a success and till date delegations from at least 18 countries have confirmed participation and the numbers may increase, officials said.

As many as 70 nations are expected to participate in the Expo. The exhibition, mounted on a level to be the biggest till date in the country, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Singh said.
