DEFEA 2025: Athens Takes Centre Stage as a Global Hub for Defence and Security

Athens, Greece. Athens is set to become the focal point of the international defence community as it will host one of Europe’s leading defence and security events, DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens 2025. Under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Defence, the Ministry for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, and the Ministry of Citizen Protection, this event, organised by ROTA Exhibitions Greece in collaboration with SEKPY – Hellenic Manufacturers of Defence Materiel Association, will unfold on May 6-8, 2025, at Metropolitan Expo Athens.

Strategically located in the heart of the Mediterranean, DEFEA 2025 is one of Europe’s most prominent and influential international defence and security exhibitions. DEFEA is more than an exhibition. It is a platform for dialogue, innovation, and strategic alliances in defence and security. What to Expect at DEFEA 2025

Official Delegations and Visitors: Building on the success of DEFEA 2023, the 2025 edition anticipates over 25,000 professional visitors and more than 300 official delegations from 68 countries.
Networking Opportunities: A dedicated matchmaking platform will foster business interactions, with special spaces designed to host B2B, B2G, and G2G meetings. The exhibition will also feature a rich agenda of parallel events.
Global Representation: So far, exhibitors from 28 countries have confirmed their participation, including 18 national pavilions, underscoring the exhibition’s international scope.

Positioned as one of Europe’s premier defence events, DEFEA is a tri-service exhibition featuring more than 40,000 sqm of indoor exhibition space at one of Southeast Europe’s largest and most modern venues.

Notable organisations participating include the European Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS), European Defence Agency (EDA), European Defence Fund (EDF), European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP), Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation (OCCAR) and NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA).
