Darsh Dronobotics, Trouve Innovation Hub to Develop Hydrogen-Powered Air Taxi, Form Strategic Partnership

New Delhi: Darsh Dronobotics Systems has announced its collaboration with Canada-based Trouve Innovation Hub Inc. to develop a hydrogen-powered five-seater air taxi. The collaboration also aims to advance eco-friendly aviation solutions and support India’s net zero goals by 2025.

According to the company statement, Vjaitra Air Mobility, a division of Darsh Dronobotics Systems Pvt Ltd, has entered into a strategic partnership with Trouve Innovation Hub Inc. supporting India’s net zero goals and country’s ambition to be a pioneer in the air taxi revolution by 2025.

Trouve Innovation Hub, as part of this partnership, will assist Darsh Dronobotics in securing the funds needed to build a full-scale prototype of the hydrogen air taxi. The project is designed to offer a sustainable alternative to traditional travel, reducing carbon emissions and enhancing urban mobility.

Highlighting the importance of this partnership, Ratandeep Tripathi, CEO of Vjaitra Air Mobility, a division of Darsh Dronobotics, stated, “Trouve’s support in fundraising and innovation will be crucial in realising our vision of a hydrogen-based air taxi, aligning with our commitment to sustainable transportation.”

Expected to cover distances of up to 600 kilometres, enabling travel between major cities like Delhi-NCR and Lucknow, the proposed air taxis promise quieter operations, zero emissions, and lower operating costs compared to conventional aircraft. The project is set to redefine the future of urban transportation, offering an eco-friendly and efficient alternative to traditional modes of travel,

Leveraging its network of private investors, government funding, and institutional support, Trouve Innovation Hub will assist in securing required funding to fast-track the project’s development. By combining Darsh Dronobotics’ expertise in drone technology with Trouve’s innovation and funding capabilities, the partnership aims to advance the hydrogen air taxi toward commercialisation.

Expressing confidence in the collaboration’s potential to set new standards in eco-friendly transportation, Faruk Rama, CEO of Trouve Innovation Hub Inc., said, “We are confident that together, we can achieve new heights in developing eco-friendly transportation technologies that will benefit cities and communities worldwide.”

India, with its burgeoning population and rapid expansion of urban centres, presents a great opportunity for the introduction of hydrogen-based air taxis, according to the statement. The introduction of hydrogen air taxis in India addresses urban congestion and pollution, offering benefits beyond passenger transport, including ambulance services, VIP escort and disaster recovery.
