BEML and Kineco Forge Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Indigenous Composite Manufacturing for Defence and Aerospace

New Delhi:  BEML Limited, a leading Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has entered into a strategic partnership with Kineco Limited, a premier Indian composite technology company, to collaborate in the field of advanced composite manufacturing for Defence and Aerospace applications.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally exchanged at the 16th International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) at the BEML pavilion, in the presence of Shantanu Roy, CMD, BEML Limited, and Shekhar Sardessai, Founder and CMD, Kineco Limited, along with senior officials from both organisations.

This strategic alliance represents a significant leap forward in building indigenous capabilities, fostering self-reliance in advanced material technologies, and strengthening India’s domestic Defence manufacturing ecosystem. The partnership is focused on co-developing and manufacturing advanced composite structures and components, which are critical to modern aerospace and defence platforms.

Under the scope of this collaboration, BEML and Kineco will jointly engage in the development and manufacturing of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) structures, Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) panels and components, honeycomb cores, foams, and bonding consumables for metallic detail parts. These advanced materials are integral to next-generation aerospace and defence systems, offering lightweight strength, enhanced durability, and superior performance.
