New, Lethal Iranian Drone ‘Shahed 107’ Being Used by Russian Forces to Attack High Value Targets in Ukraine

Tel Aviv: The Russian forces in Ukraine are using the Iranian made Shahed 107 armed drone to attack high value targets in Ukraine.
According to verified intelligence reports, Iran has transferred to Russia the new, lethal Shahed 107 armed drone and it is already used to attack high value targets in Ukraine.
The introduction of this weapon system, according to Israeli experts, marks a new stage in Iranian drone technology and gives Russia more sophisticated choices for deep-strike operations in Ukraine.
The Shahed 107 armed drone, represents a major advancement in the capabilities that Russian soldiers in Ukraine can now use. The drone poses a serious risk to expensive military equipment and infrastructure because of its long range, precision strike, and real-time reconnaissance capabilities.
The new armed drone was developed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Its cutting-edge features and alleged transfer to Russia for use in the conflict against Ukraine have drawn attention from all around the world.
The new armed drone is 2.5 metres long and has a wingspan of 3 metres.
The warhead contains 100 of explosives. Targeting is performed by live video transmission for real-time reconnaissance.
According to security sources, Russia purchased the first batch of the new drone in a deal valued at US $2 million.
Sources assess that the new armed drone was designed to carry out targeted attacks against valuable Ukrainian military equipment, including HIMARS rocket systems.
Both the Shahed 107 and Shahed 136 drones were reportedly tested at an airbase in Central Iran during joint trials by Iranian and Russian soldiers.
