Israel’s Targeted Hits on High Ranking Iranian Officials Were Enabled by Real-Time Intelligence and AI

Tel Aviv: Until before the cease fire between Israel and Iran went into effect on June 24, Israel continued to hunt senior Iranian officials that have been instrumental in building the Iran proxies in the Middle East. The precise attacks in some cases, when the officials were travelling in their cars, were enabled thanks to real time intelligence and AI. The missiles were launched by Israeli air force combat aircraft, manned and unmanned.
Among the high-level Iranian officials reported killed in these operations were General Hossein Salami, the head of the Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC)  and General Mohammed Bagheri, chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces. At least eight IRGC members, including the head of its missile program, were also killed in a single strike on an underground bunker.
According to foreign sources, Israel spent months covertly transporting drone components and munitions into Iran, using a variety of methods—including trucks, shipping containers, and even suitcases. Mossad agents inside Iran assembled and distributed these drones, which were then used for precision attacks on Iranian officials and military assets.
Artificial intelligence played a crucial role in sifting through vast amounts of intelligence data to identify and prioritise targets. AI-assisted analysis enabled the rapid selection of Iranian generals and nuclear scientists, as well as the identification of their routines and locations.
Videos released by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) showed Israeli drones targeting not only stationary command centres but also mobile missile launchers and vehicles used by Iranian officials. This dynamic targeting approach maximised disruption to Iran’s military response capabilities.
According to the IDF’s spokesperson, the Israeli drone campaign significantly degraded Iran’s air defence and missile capabilities, enabling repeated strikes deep inside Iranian territory.
Sources here said that the operations demonstrated Israel’s ability to combine clandestine logistics, advanced drone warfare, and AI-driven intelligence to hunt and eliminate high-value Iranian officials and military targets with precision and speed.
