Tel Aviv: Israeli company IMCO group, manufacturer and supplier of advanced defence and industrial solutions and subsystems, announced that it has secured a meaningful order from a global leader in drive (engines & transmissions) solutions to the world armoured vehicle market.
According to the company, the order valued at about US $ 3 million marks a milestone in IMCO’s strategic plan and underscores the company’s ongoing partnership with top-tier defence manufacturers worldwide. Under the new contract, IMCO will supply a specialised electronic control unit (ECU) designed to connect directly to armoured vehicle engines, enhancing operational efficiency and reliability.
“We’re honoured to be chosen as a partner by this prestigious customer and world leader in armoured vehicle technology,” said Ariel Kandel, CEO of IMCO Group. “This order is a strong vote of confidence in IMCO’s engineering expertise and our ability to deliver innovative, mission-critical solutions. Our partnership with international industry leaders positions us at the forefront of technology for next-generation armored vehicles and is another step forward in realising IMCO’s vision for global expansion and technological leadership.”
In addition to delivering this field-proven product, IMCO and its customer are discussing a joint development of a next-generation engine management solution aimed at enhancing the engine’s life cycle by automatically monitoring and controlling overheat conditions of the engine. This new solution is part of IMCO’s Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS), which enables real-time monitoring and diagnostics of critical vehicle subsystems.
HUMS empowers operators and maintenance personnel to implement predictive maintenance and anticipate malfunctions in advance, maximising fleet readiness and operational effectiveness.
IMCO’s increased activity in the global armoured vehicle sector is a direct result of its experience providing operationally proven systems and solutions to the growing market for advanced digital monitoring capabilities, a demand fueled by evolving geopolitical developments and heightened requirements among defence forces worldwide.
