Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Naval Command Visits Indian Naval Academy

Ezhimala. Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (C-in-C), Southern Naval Command, Vice Admiral AR Karve arrived on a two-day official visit to the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, May 2. On his arrival, he was received by Vice Admiral RB Pandit, Commandant, INA.

The C-in-C, during his visit inaugurated a new equitation facility named after Admiral AK Chatterji, the seventh Chief of the Naval Staff and the first Indian Officer to command the Indian Navy’s flagship INS Delhi after Independence and a state-of-the-art training facility for Navigation, Seamanship and Service Training of Cadets.

The C-in-C was briefed on the progress of all major ongoing infrastructure facilities projects and training processes at INA and interacted with all officers and family members of the station.

The C-in-C departed INA on May 3.
