Foundation Stone for the Tier-III Data Centre of Project Digital Coast Guard Laid by DDG – ICG

New Delhi: IG Anand Prakash Badola, Deputy Director General (Policy & Plans), Indian Coast Guard (ICG) laid the foundation stone for the Tier-III Data Centre of Project Digital Coast Guard (DCG) at Mahipalpur here.

Project DCG is a strategically important project for ICG, being executed by TCIL. DCG Project will be a testimony of the technological advancement made by ICG. It includes construction of state-of-the-art Data Centre  and Disaster Recovery Data Centre at New Mangalore, Karnataka, a PAN India connectivity among ICG locations including ships and implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application.

At its core, the DCG project has the Tier-III Data Centre equipped with the newest technology. Serving as the brain centre, it will make it possible to centrally monitor and administer all the applications and vital IT resources deployed for the project, thereby providing critically important support to the administrative functioning of ICG.
