Camero-Tech’s ‘See Through the Wall’ Technology Selected by Italy’s USAR Teams

Tel Aviv: An Israeli advanced technology that enables to “see through the wall” has been selected by the Italy’s Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams. This technology has served the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) in the current war and in previous operations.
Camero-Tech that has developed the pulse-based micro-power radar ‘Through-Wall Imaging’, recently  supplied its advanced Search & Rescue kits to Italy’s Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams.
According to the company, the deployment of Camero-Tech’s Xaver systems will significantly enhance the ability of first responders to detect and locate survivors in disaster-stricken areas.
Recently, a successful training of Camero-Tech’s Sense-Through-Wall systems was conducted at the Regional Fire Department headquarters in Rome. During the training, USAR teams from multiple regions., were instructed how to use the technology in real-world disaster scenarios.
The systems effectively detected live individuals trapped behind walls and under rubble, demonstrating their superior accuracy and reliability in search and rescue operations. The results confirmed that Camero-Tech’s advanced radar technology significantly enhances response times and operational efficiency, making it an invaluable tool for first responders.
Camero-Tech’s Search & Rescue kit includes:
  • Xaver 100 – An ultra-portable, handheld detector providing primary and reliable information on the presence of live individuals.
  • Xaver 400 – A compact radar-based system delivering real-time imaging of live and static objects and their locations.
  • Xavernet – A remote control Tough Pad that enables simultaneous monitoring and operation of multiple Xaver systems, allowing for enhanced coordination during rescue efforts.
According to the Israeli company, its Search & Rescue kit is lightweight, rapidly deployable, and packed in a dedicated backpack, ensuring quick and efficient use upon arrival at disaster sites. The equipment enables first responders to operate in hazardous environments, locate survivors in deep voids, and conduct life-saving operations with greater precision and confidence.
“We are proud to support Italy’s Urban Search and Rescue teams with our cutting-edge radar technology,” said Amir Beeri, CEO of Camero-Tech. “The ability to detect survivors in collapsed structures is critical for rescue operations, and our Xaver radar systems have already proven their life-saving capabilities in disaster zones worldwide. This deployment in Italy marks another step in our commitment to enhancing first responders’ effectiveness in search and rescue missions.”
According to the company, the Xaver radar systems are completely radiation-safe and comply with international standards for human exposure.
