Tel Aviv: The defence relation between Israel and India gets a major boost. Under the MAFAT for Startups (MFS) programme, the Directorate of Defence Research and Development (DDR&D/MAFAT) within the Israel Ministry of Defence (IMOD) is leading a delegation of eight groundbreaking defence-tech companies at the Israeli national pavilion in the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2025, taking place this week in Bangalore, India.
The MFS delegation showcased Israel’s most advanced dual-use companies in quantum computing, cybersecurity, aerospace, and biotechnology, including Classiq, HEQA Security, AccuBeat, SolCold, RedC Biotech, DagsHub, Rogat Engineering, and AirEV, which represent the cutting edge of Israel’s defence technology ecosystem.
Additionally, as part of the comprehensive support MFS provides to startups in its network, the companies met with potential partners and investors interested in their technologies to establish connections for future collaborations.
BTS 2025, Asia’s largest technology and innovation event, brought together global leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs from over 60 countries.
Led by the Consulate of Israel in Bengaluru and the Israel Economic Mission to South India, Israel made its strongest showing yet at the BTS with its largest-ever national pavilion. Featuring over 30 cutting-edge companies, the Israeli pavilion captured the country’s reputation as a global innovation powerhouse. The record participation reflected Israel’s drive to deepen its ties with India through collaboration and technology.
Head of the DDR&D, Brig Gen (Res.), Dr Daniel Gold, commented, “The innovations we brought to Bengaluru Tech Summit represent the cutting edge of Israel’s defence-tech ecosystem, where solutions developed for defence challenges create value across multiple sectors. These dual-use technologies demonstrate how the intersection of defence and civilian innovation is driving solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges.”
