BEL Signs Teaming Agreement with Reliasat Inc. Canada to Make Foray into Space Domain

Bengaluru: Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) September 19 signed a Teaming Agreement with Reliasat Inc. Canada to collaborate in the area of space products.

The Teaming Agreement aims at leveraging BEL and Reliasat’s capabilities in the domain of space. This is a significant step that will enable BEL to foray into the space segment, in line with the Government of India’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make-in-India’ initiatives, and strengthen its existing portfolio.

The Teaming Agreement was signed at BEL’s Corporate Office in Bengaluru by K V Suresh Kumar, Director (Marketing), and Gurvinder Chohan, CEO, Reliasat Inc. Senior BEL officers Rashmi Kathuria, GM (SCCS) & Unit Head, BEL-Ghaziabad, Niti Pandit, GM (SP), Puneet Jain, AGM (Marketing), A K Singh, AGM (D&E), Prakash S P, AGM (TP), Abhinav Paharia, AGM (SP), and K R Amarnath, Sales Director, Reliasat India were present.

BEL, a Navaratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, enjoys leadership position in the Defence / Strategic Electronics market in India. BEL has expertise in the design, development, engineering, manufacture of Radars, Weapon Systems, Network Centric and Communications Systems, Electronic Warfare & Avionics, Naval Systems, Electro-Optics & Laser Based products, Tank Electronics & Gun Systems, Space Electronics and Satcom Systems, Strategic Components and Civilian products.
