BEL and IISc Ink MoU for Synergy in AI and ML

Bengaluru: Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) signed an MoU with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, to work together in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and other emerging technologies at Aero India 2023, the biennial air show and aviation exhibition being held at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Bengaluru.

The MoU aims at leveraging the complementary strengths and capabilities of BEL and Indian Institute of Science. It will enable BEL and IISc, Bengaluru, to develop various products and services wherein Artificial Intelligence is embedded and integrated. IISc will provide specialised services in AI and ML for BEL to initiate various projects in terms of development of R&D solutions, Algorithms, training to BEL engineers, etc.

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is a deemed to be University and an autonomous institution funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for higher education and research in science, engineering, design, and management. In 2018, IISc was selected as an Institution of Eminence (IoE) by the Government of India, and it consistently figures among the top Indian institutions in world university rankings.
