New Delhi. Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS) will invest Rs 4,458 crore at Noida International Airport, Jewar.
The Uttar Pradesh government on February 22 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with AISATS. The agreement was formalised during Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Singapore.
Marking a key outcome on the second day of the tour, which aims to attract global capital to Uttar Pradesh, the investment by AISATS will establish two major facilities at the airport. These include an integrated cargo campus and a world-class air catering kitchen. The projects are part of the broader strategy to strengthen aviation-linked services in the state.
According to officials, the integrated cargo campus is expected to position Jewar as a major air freight and logistics hub for northern India. The facility will facilitate export and import activities across sectors such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural products.
The agreement represents a significant private sector commitment aligned with the state’s infrastructure expansion plans, as per a media report. The development will leverage the airport’s planned multi-modal connectivity to strengthen international trade linkages. The infrastructure will support efficient cargo movement once the airport becomes operational. The cargo campus will function as a centralised air freight handling facility within the airport premises. It is expected to support businesses engaged in domestic and international trade.
The campus will enhance north India’s logistics capacity and improve trade facilitation by providing dedicated cargo infrastructure, officials noted. The project aims to support growing export demand from key industrial sectors. The facility will contribute to the aviation and logistics sectors by improving operational readiness when the airport begins commercial services.
The development of modern air catering unit at Jewar by AISATS will supply in-flight meals for flights operating from the airport. The catering unit will also serve multiple airports across northern India, officials stated. This expansion will strengthen the regional food processing and supply chain ecosystem and generate significant direct and indirect employment opportunities in aviation support services and allied sectors.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Singapore visit focuses on showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s infrastructure growth and investment potential to global investors.
The MoU with AISATS is a major step forward for the aviation, logistics, and services sectors in the state, as per officials. Enhancing north India’s economic landscape, Noida International Airport once operational, will improve connectivity, increase trade efficiency, and drive service sector growth.
