“With its sophisticated architecture and two Line Replaceable Units the system offers outstanding RF performance, simple installation, and quick maintenance, this best-in-class terminal has the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) system in the industry,” the president and CEO said.

Dany Eshchar added that with the lowest tail weight (less than 22 lbs./10 kg) and lowest power consumption of any 12″/30 cm terminal on the market, the AirTRx 30Ka terminal has a revolutionary design.

According to the company, with an integrated iDirect iQ800 core module and integrated IF switch to support external modems, the terminal was designed with a broad range of business aviation aircraft, from super mid-size to large ones, in mind. It allows for both pressurised and unpressurised installations of the ARINC 600 4MCU MODMAN, saving cabin space.

The Federal Communication Commission (FCC), the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), and RTCA DO-160G are among the industry standards that the AirTRx 30Ka supports and conforms with.

Orbit says that the terminal offers the freedom to use Ka broadband satellite networks and is designed to be used on Ka band satellite networks globally. It supports the whole Ka commercial spectrum.

With a top-notch RF performance and the ability to operate on LEO, MEO, HEO, and GEO satellite networks, the terminal can reach rates of up to 130 Mbps. The antenna offers the maximum flexibility in terms of integration with platforms and systems from third parties thanks to its MODMAN.

The way we communicate with the world is being revolutionised by Orbit Communication Systems Ltd., a global pioneer in ground-station technology, satellite tracking, maritime services, aerial communications, and innovative solutions for the new space era. The company’s cutting-edge systems are used on a wide variety of platforms, including jet fighters, rotary-wing aircraft, transport ships, mission aircraft, and trainers.

According to the Israeli company, it also serves ground stations, offshore platforms, cruise ships, and naval vessels.
